Closed. China International Photographic Art Exhibition held by China Photographers Association is the largest international photographic event with the longest history in China. China Photographers Association has successfully held the exhibition 12 times since 1981 which has received accumulative around 200,000 works shot by 50,000 photographers from 100 countries and regions all over the world. China International Photographic Art Exhibition has an extensive influence on the international photographic circle.

"China 13th International Photographic Art Exhibition" will be held in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, China in November, 2009. The exhibition has got the patronage of FIAP (the International Federation of Photographic Art). The awarded and accepted works could be used as one qualification to apply for the FIAP distinction.

Now the exhibition sincerely invites all photographic organizations, professional and amateur photographers and young photographers from all over the world to participate.

I.Contributions Rules

1.The exhibition aims to synthetically present the art achievements acquired in photography field in the world in recent years and exhibit the outstanding artistic talents of photographers in various themes, types, styles and genres to promote the communication and development among the photographic art of every country in the world.

2.The exhibition doesnt accept the awarded and accepted works in previous international photographic exhibitions held by China Photographers Association.

3.The exhibition sets up two categories: (A) color and (B) black and white (The works will be judged according to themes). And there will be 380 photos of awarded and accepted works.

4.There is no restriction regarding in the photographic methods of the exhibition works. It allows the participants to carry out various revisions, adjustments and creations.

5.The size of works: Standard works, the largest side shouldn’t exceed 10 inch (25cm); Square works, the sides must not exceed 8 inch x 8 inch (20cm x 20cm); Panorama works, the largest side shouldnt exceed 20 inch (50cm). All the works should not be mounted. The quantity of works is no limited. No group pictures.

6.Please fill in the entry form carefully and write down works number, title and photographers name, address, postal code and telephone number clearly on the back of the works in block letters which must completely correspond to those on the entry form. You can download and print the entry form from the website of China Photographers Association(http://world.cpanet.cn).

7.The photographers from overseas could mail the electronic documents of works to the exhibition. Please provide document in JPEG format with high precision. And the long side of the works should be no less than 2400 pixel. Please mail the works document and entry form together to the International Liaison Department mailbox of China Photographers Association (gjbcpa@cpanet.cn, gjbcpa2@cpanet.cn). Please fill in the mail subject with "photographer name + country/region".

8.The photographers from overseas are free of charge on entry fee.

9.The organizer reserves the right to use all the awarded and accepted works in relevant exhibitions or press publications without any additional payment.

10.All contributions will be handled with utmost care. But we dont take the responsibility of compensation for circumstances beyond our control such as broken or loss of a print in transport or under other incidents.

11.By submitting his/her works to the exhibition, it is understood that the author accepts the above mentioned rules. The photographers should bear all legal liabilities of all relevant copyright, portrait right and reputation right. The contestants will be responsible for the reputation loss or economic loss to the exhibition organization committee caused by this matter.

12.The exhibition will announce the result on the website of China Photographers Association(http://world.cpanet.cn), "China Photo Press", "Popular Photography" magazine and "Chinese Photography" magazine which belong to China Photographers Association. The exhibition catalog will be published.

13.The works which are not corresponding to the rules cant be judged.

14.The organization committee of China 13th International Photographic Art Exhibition reserves the right of final interpretation of this exhibition.

II.Jury Committee

The judging will be on the principle of justice, equity and open. The Jury committee should be made up of at least 11 photographic experts from all over the world.

III.Other Awards Setting

1.Judges Recommendation Prize

Each judge could recommend a piece of his/her favorite works according to his/her aesthetic concept to develop individuality and advocate diversity.

2.International Photographic Art Exhibition Organization Prize

There are 10 awards to encourage the organizations with prominent contribution to the exhibition.

IV.Other Description

1.For the organization which is awarded with International Photographic Art Exhibition Organization Prize, the exhibition organization committee will invite the organization representative (1 person) to participate in the exhibition opening ceremony and take photos for one week. The exhibition organization committee will bear all the accommodation and traffic expenses in China while the international travel fee will be arranged and payed by the representative himself/herself.

2.In order to promote the communication of the exhibition and photographers, the organization committee will recommend one of the awarding-winning photographers to be a judge of next exhibition.

3.The gold, silver and bronze medal winner will be invited to take part in the International Photographic Art Exhibition opening ceremony and take photos for one week. The exhibition organization committee will bear all the accommodation and traffic expenses in China while the international travel fee will be arranged and payed by the award winner himself/herself.

4.The photographer who is awarded and accepted in the exhibition will obtain certificate issued by China Photographers Association and relative medal of International Federation of Photographic Art. All the entrants will get a exquisite exhibition catalog.
